Text repeater

Repeat a word, a phrase, or a block of text up to 1,000 times, with a separator and optional numbering.

More options

Up to 1,000 repetitions and one million characters in total. The separator goes between repetitions, never after the last one. It all runs in your browser: your text is never uploaded.

Example input and result

Hello

Hello

Repeat text in one step

Type or paste your text in “Your text”, set how many copies you want in “Amount”, and the result appears in “Result” as you type. With Hello and the amount at 5, you get five lines of Hello. The text repeater copies your input as it is, spaces and line breaks included, so a single word and a block of several lines both work. “Load example” fills in Hello if you want to see it first.

When the result looks right, “Copy result” puts all of it on your clipboard and “Download TXT” saves it as a text file, which is easier for very long outputs. “Clear” empties both boxes so you can start over with a different text.

Separators and numbering for repeated text

“Separator”, under “More options”, sets what goes between one repetition and the next, and nothing is added after the last one. The same panel has “Number each repetition”, which puts 1., 2., 3., and so on in front of each copy. With red repeated three times, each separator gives you this:

  • New line: red on three separate lines (the default)
  • Space: red red red
  • Comma: red, red, red, with a comma and a space
  • None: redredred; ha repeated 10 times gives hahahahahahahahahaha
  • Comma with numbering: 1. red, 2. red, 3. red

Limits: 1,000 repetitions and one million characters

“Amount” goes from 1 to 1,000. The whole result can't go over one million characters, counting your text, the separators, and the numbers. At 1,000 repetitions that leaves room for a text of about 980 characters. Go past it and you'll see “Output is limited to one million characters.”, so lower the amount or shorten the text. The input box itself takes up to 500,000 characters.

Good reasons to repeat a message

Pasting the same word a hundred times by hand is slow, and it's easy to lose count halfway. The repeater gets the number right and leaves the result ready to copy or download. These are uses where it saves real time, at work or with friends:

  • Test data: fill a form field or a table to see how your page handles long text
  • Length checks: repeat one letter 150 times to see where a field or a bio cuts off
  • Numbered templates: set “Amount” to 30, turn on “Number each repetition”, keep New line, and you get a list from 1 to 30 to fill in by hand
  • Patterns: repeat ✦ or ─ with no separator to make a divider line for a bio or a post
  • A joke for a friend: “I miss you” 100 times, for someone who'll laugh at it

Before you paste repeated messages into a chat

One long repeated message can be a joke between friends. Sending it over and over to people or groups who didn't ask for it is spam, and people report it. Chat apps can limit or block accounts that send spam or bulk messages, and group admins remove whoever floods the conversation. If it's for someone who'll get the joke, send it once and leave it there.

Frequently asked questions

How many times can I repeat text?

Up to 1,000 times per result, as long as the output stays under one million characters. Short texts reach 1,000 repetitions with no problem. A text longer than about 980 characters needs a lower amount to fit.

How do I put each repetition on its own line?

Leave Separator on New line, which is the default. Turn on Number each repetition as well and every line starts with its number: 1., 2., 3., and so on up to the amount you picked.

Can I repeat emoji or text with several lines?

Yes. The repeater copies your text as it is, with emoji, symbols, spaces, and line breaks. If you repeat a multi-line block with New line as the separator, each copy starts on a fresh line right below the previous one.

Can I get blocked for sending repeated messages?

It can happen. Chat apps can limit or block accounts that send spam, and people report messages that flood a chat or a group. Use repeated text for jokes with friends who'll enjoy them, test data, or lists, and keep it out of other people's chats.

What does the output limit warning mean?

Your text multiplied by the amount went over one million characters. Lower the Amount or shorten the text and the result comes back. An amount outside 1 to 1,000 shows a different message asking for a whole number in that range.
