Find a symbol by name or code
Search the library by a character name, visible mark, category, or Unicode code point.
Copy a symbol or combine a few
Copy a symbol on its own, or add several to the combination box. Appearance can vary by app and font. To style whole words instead of single symbols, use the font generator.
Copy and paste symbols into bios, chats and game names
Symbols are plain text characters, not images, so in most apps they paste just like any letter. Most people who copy and paste symbols want them in one of these spots:
- Instagram and TikTok bios and captions
- WhatsApp chats and status updates
- Discord messages and server nicknames
- Game nicknames, when the game accepts symbols (some only take letters and numbers)
Frame your name with symbols, step by step
The combination box works like a mini notepad. It keeps the symbols you add and anything you type, so you can build a whole name or bio line before you copy it.
Changed your mind? Tap Clear to empty the box and start again.
- Tap the Stars filter.
- Tap + on ✧ to drop it into “Build a combination”.
- Type your name after it, with a space on each side.
- Tap + on ✧ again to close the frame.
- Tap “Copy all” and paste ✧ Luna ✧ wherever you want.
Aesthetic, cute and cool symbols to try first
Aesthetic bios usually lean on small, light marks, while gamer tags go bolder. A few picks to start with:
For cute symbols, pair a heart with a sparkle, like ♡ ✧. For a gamer tag, try a crown, a cross or an arrow, like ♛ or ➳.
- Stars and sparkles: ★ ☆ ✦ ✧ ⋆
- Hearts: ♡ ♥ ❥ ❣ ❦
- Moon and sky: ☾ ☽ ☁ ☀
- Crowns and crosses: ♛ ♔ ✞ †
- Arrows and lines: → ⇢ ➳ ━
Check how it looks on their screen
Your friend's phone may use a different font than yours. A symbol that looks perfect on your screen can show up as a box or a blank space on theirs, so send it to someone or check it on another device before you lock in a nickname.
Symbols also look better as decoration around your words than as a replacement for them. Screen readers can read each symbol out loud by name, so a row like ★★★★★ may come out as the same name five times. One or two on each side usually looks cleaner, too.
Frequently asked questions
Can I search by a Unicode code point?
Yes. Enter a value such as U+2605 or 2605, or search by the symbol name.
How do I copy a symbol?
Tap the symbol and it's copied. If your browser blocks copying, the symbol appears selected in a box so you can copy it with your device's Copy command.
How do I copy several symbols at once?
Tap + on each symbol to add it to “Build a combination”. You can also type or delete there directly. Then select “Copy all”.
Why do some symbols show up as boxes?
The app or font you paste into doesn't have that character, so it shows a box ▯ or a question mark instead. Try another symbol from the same category and check how it looks where you'll use it.
What can I search for?
A symbol's name, such as star or arrow, its category, the symbol itself, or its code point. Names are the official Unicode names, which are in English.
